Devotional Guide

God created you for intimacy

To enjoy this spiritual exercise, assume a comfortable posture in a quiet space that is free of distractions.  Focus attention on your breathing.  As you inhale slowly say to yourself, “Lord;” then, as you exhale say to yourself, “Jesus.”  When you feel at ease, with your body relaxed and your mind focused on the Lord, say the first verse listed below slowly and thoughtfully.  Follow by saying the words in bold out loud, pausing to reflect upon each statement, then continuing by saying the corresponding verse(s) in italics.  Continue this process down to the last verse.  Conclude by asking God to give you insight as you transition from spiritual intimacy to understanding by reading thoughtfully and prayerfully a selection of Scripture from your Bible.
