Michael Weiss

Michael Weiss of Disciplers InternationalReverend Michael J. Weiss served as a Chaplain Assistant in the U.S. Army for 30 years, retiring in 2007 at the rank of Sergeant Major. During his time in the Army he had the opportunity to serve in many different leadership positions and in many different types of units in the United States, Korea, Germany and deployed locations. His military schooling and Masters Degree in Practical Theology, from Regent University, position him to provide comprehensive chaplain and chaplain assistant training internationally and insightful ministry oversight.

Michael serves Northpoint Christian Fellowship, San Bernardino, California, as a missionary to the global military community. Michael is a military ministry trainer, Life Coach/Mentor and is a Member of the Board for Retreat to His Presence Ministries, Disciplers International and for International Association of Evangelical Chaplains. After his retirement from the Army he served four years as the U.S. States Army Chaplain Corps Regiment Honorary Sergeant Major.

Michael and his wife Darlene (daughter of a retired Army Chaplain) were married in 1980.  Darlene’s passion is to live out the “Ministry of Reconciliation” all Christians have been given as she assists churches, businesses and families work through conflict as a certified Mediator. Their daughter Susie is an art teacher; and their son Michael is an Infantry Lieutenant in the United States Army. Their daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, is a Physical Therapist.
