Our Partner in Zimbabwe - Masauso

The Ministry

My wife and I founded Cornerstone Baptist Church in 2001 with a passion for and heartfelt commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). We took the Gospel of Jesus to the northern part of Zimbabwe (Zambezi basin) where many established churches don't want to go. We also have a ministry for rural based pastors under the banner of Ministers Development Network (MDN), which we founded in 2001. This ministry focuses on uniting pastors and caring for their needs - spiritual, emotional, psychological, physical. My degree from the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa has equipped me to educate pastors attending the Baptist Theological College of Zimbabwe, which we started in 2023.

The Vision

Our vision is to see Zimbabwe become a training hub for Disciples International where DI trained Disciplers are sent to share the Gospel to other destinations, both inside and outside the borders of our country. We intend to fulfill the Lord's call to “make disciples of all nations” starting with our homeland. In addition, we intend to bring education to the less privileged and establish vocational training centers that are infused with the Gospel in order to train the youth not only for job creation but also to follow the Lord Jesus. We pray that the children for whom we provide free education and meals mature into future disciple-makers and church leaders; and we want our church to address the needs of people wholistically (physical and spiritual). With the help of my wife, who is a trained agrarian, we hope to start fish farming and crop production projects that become self-sustaining so that the vision lives on.

The Impact

Through our association with Disciplers International the development of our evangelistic and discipleship programs has accelerated and the impact has been truly remarkable. The influence and support of DI has helped us plant 11 church plants, distribute free Bibles, and provide Step-by-Step Training guides in local languages. Many pastors at the local and national level, as well as those in neighboring countries, are contacting me because they desire the discipleship training that I can now provide for them. The experience of partnership with DI has been and continues to be a blessing in so many ways. The Baptist Theological College of Zimbabwe's curriculum is not complete without Step-by-Step Training. My wife and I have benefited greatly from our relationship with DI and are grateful to be part of this wonderful family of brothers and sisters in Christ.
