The dramatic and sudden transformation from Saul the gospel persecutor to Paul the gospel preacher is astounding, but what relevance does his unique experience have with us personally? Suffice to say that God is in the business of transforming people into the likeness of Jesus Christ for His glory and His purposes. Although the "how" is different for each person, the "why" is the same.
