Acts 13 opens with the execution of James the Apostle of Christ by Herod the King of Judea. Why? It was to please the Jews who hated the Christians (who happened to be Jewish also, by the way). Just four days ago, on 10 September 2025, a young American named Charlie Kirk was "executed" by another young American. Why? Out of hatred for the man and his message. It sounds like the "same old song," but just a different century. So, how should we respond? The answer is found in Acts 12:5 - "prayer for him was being made fervently by the church of God." Not with violence, but prayer.
