Bart Physioc

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Bart has served as a University Minister, Church Planter / Pastor and US Army Chaplain. His ministry passion is discipleship, and with the encouragement and support of a close friend, they established Disciplers International in 2006. In 2014, after retiring from the Army, Bart and his wife, Dawn, moved to Annapolis, MD. After serving as Chapel Pastor at the US Naval Academy, Bart and Dawn started a church in their home, which now meets online as HAUS Church with people connecting from around the country and overseas. Bart enjoys hiking, biking and traveling with Dawn (especially in Europe!) and spending quality time with family and friends.

 
  • David Vogt

    CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD

    Husband, Father, Grandfather. David has been part of DI since its inception. He loves the outdoors, solitude, and pouring himself into his grandchildren. He enjoys new experiences, whether close to home or traveling the world.

    David has spent most of his professional life as a Financial Advisor. He spends significant time refining and maturing his walk with the Lord.

  • Jason Luehrs

    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Jason is a military veteran and currently serving as a US Army civilian. While serving in the US Army overseas in Germany, Jason met Bart and Dawn Physioc where they established a close friendship.

    After going through the Discipleship Process, Jason developed a passion and desire to encourage others to grow in their walk with the Lord by experiencing a deeper and more intimate relationship with Jesus. Jason enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with his lovely wife and two wonderful kids.

  • Natalie Fancher

    BOARD MEMBER

    Natalie Fancher has a heart for discipleship and is a natural encourager. She was a new Christian and a new Army Officer in 2002 when she met and started to be influenced by the lives of Dawn and Bart Physioc. Studying the Bible, praying, and experiencing Jesus through community are now Natalie’s passions. The seeds planted during those early Christian years have had a lasting effect on Natalie’s life.

    Natalie currently lives in Ohio with her husband, Matt, and two sons. She stays busy playing Tennis, playing Ultimate Frisbee, running, hiking, writing, volunteering at her local church, and spending time with her family. It is a privilege for her to be on the Disciplers International Board of Directors helping the message and influence of the Gospel reach more people.

  • Hawthorne “Peet” Proctor

    BOARD MEMBER

    Peet is a retired Army Officer who had the pleasure of meeting Bart and Dawn when Bart served as the Base Chaplain at Ft. Belvoir Virginia.

    He is married and resides in Virginia. Peet became interested in Bart’s Disciplers International ministries and has provided support for several years. Recently, he completed the Discipleship Program and is currently participating in a Bible Study Group hosted by Bart.

    Peet enjoys golf, mentoring and coaching young people in life skills as well as their faith and traveling with family and friends.

  • Jonathan Luehrs

    BOARD MEMBER

    Jon has a heart for discipleship and encouraging others to find direction/purpose through a close relationship with Jesus Christ. He and his wife have two children and live in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Jon is vice president of marketing operations for a cybersecurity company and obtained his MBA from Georgia State University.

    In his spare time, Jon enjoys being on the lake fishing and playing with his kids. He and his wife are also active members and volunteers at their local church in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • Kathryn Wolf

    BOARD MEMBER

    Katie received a Master’s and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary, as well as a second Master’s in Christian Leadership.

    She has worked in the field of trauma for over 13 years, which led to her current role as director of research and evaluation for a victim service agency for the past 7 years. She currently lives in the United States in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, Pete, and two children.

    Katie immediately became inspired by the resources, tools and skills she was able to develop through the Step by Step process. She hopes to help others recognize the value of embracing the truth of God’s word and the treasure found in the intimacy that is gained with God and with others through discipleship.

  • Alana Luehrs

    TREASURER (Non Board Member)

    Alana Luehrs was born in Brazil and made US her home after getting married with her husband Jason almost 15 years ago.

    She has two Bachelors degrees, one in Physical Education from Federal University of Minas Gerais and one in Business Administration with an Accounting Major from the University of Alabama in Huntsville . Alana has a police background in Brazil and also experience in the finance area. Alana is happy to serve the Lord and volunteer at Disciplers International in the accounting field.

    Alana divides her times between work, chauffeuring her kids between sports activities , taking care of her lovely husband and going for long walks with their black Lab Jack.
