Meet the Board

Bart Physioc

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

I have served as a University Minister, Church Planter / Pastor and U.S. Army Chaplain for 25 years. My ministry passion is discipleship, and through the encouragement and support of a friend, we launched Disciplers International in 2006. After retiring from the Army in 2014, my wife, Dawn, and I moved to Annapolis, Maryland, where I served as Chapel Pastor at the U.S. Naval Academy before starting a church in our home. When Covid kept people from gathering in person, our house church transformed into HAUS Church online with people connecting from around the country and abroad. Beyond ministry, my interests include hiking, biking, traveling with my best friend (Dawn) and spending quality time with family and friends.

  • Clement Ior

    BOARD CHAIRMAN

I was born in Tsambe, Nigeria, and have five siblings. I also have many half brothers and sisters, as my father was a polygamist with seven wives.

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Jos in 2004, and a Master of Science Degree in Medical Microbiology in 2010. I served as a biology teacher for seven years and presently serve as Principal at Bethany Christian Academy.

I was influenced positively by the ministry of the Great Commission Movement of Nigeria and became involved in mentoring and discipling college students through the ministry of hospitality I share with my wife, Lydia. My spiritual goal is to fulfill the Great Commission as commanded by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20.

    BOARD MEMBER

I grew up attending church faithfully and I even served as Youth President. However, despite this commitment to ministry, I was not yet born-again. Finally, in 1992 when someone preached the gospel to me, I confessed my sins and accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord.

I was ordained as a pastor in 2007 and with my wife, Diness, planted a church that year. In 2021 I graduated from Emit Bible College with Diploma in Pastoral Leadership.

We are called to spread the Gospel of Jesus and equip believers to become Disciplers for Christ both in Zambia and the nations beyond. We also care for orphans, widows, the vulnerable, underprivileged and elderly.

  • Flavien Muderhwa

    BOARD MEMBER

I was raised in Bukavu, DRC, in a family that included five siblinigs. My pursuit of education took me from studying mathematics with the hope of becoming an engineer, to law school with the thought of becoming a magistrate. However, the Lord Jesus revealed a different calling for me while I was studying English on my own and attending the university English club.

In 2000 I moved to Goma and in 2004 the Lord opened a door for me to study theology. I did Bible translation work for some time, and eventually met my dear wife, Naomi. We have three children.

My faith and ministry has grown the most through the discipleship training I have received and now offer to others through Disciplers International.

  • Shahid Masih

    BOARD MEMBER

I am from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and a graduate of Punjab University, Lahore.  Both my father and mother are pastors. Among my four brothers and three sisters, I am the oldest. My younger brother is a pastor and the other two are musicians in the church I pastor. One of them is also an evangelist. By the grace of God I started to play piano and started to do praise and worship music, and lead our church choir.

My wife, Lubna, and I serve together in church ministry, and also my oldest son, who is an international speaker among the kids. Lubna and I have three sons and one daughter.

I have church branches in various areas of my city and those pastors are joined with me in making disciples using the Step-by-Step Process of Disciplers International.

  • Craig Kennedy

    BOARD MEMBER / MISSIONS

I met Bart and Dawn Physioc while we were stationed in Germany where my wife was deployed. Bart led me to the Lord and took me through the Step-By -Step Discipleship Process.

I have a heart for the lost and a desire to be used by God as a light in darkness by sharing His word with others.

I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, kayaking or doing anything in the great outdoors.

  • Natalie Fancher

    WOMEN’S MINISTRY

In 2002, as a new Christian and new Army Officer on my first assignment (Heidelberg, Germany), I met Dawn and Bart Physioc at the Heidelberg Hospitality Haus, which they started in their home.. Since then, studying the Bible, praying, and experiencing Jesus through community are my passions. The seeds planted during those early years have had a profound and lasting effect on my life.

I currently live in Ohio with my husband, Matt, and two sons. As an action oriented person, I stay busy playing Ultimate Frisbee and tennis, running, hiking, writing, volunteering at my local church, and spending time with my family. I have a heart for discipleship and am a natural encourager. It is a privilege for me to serve with Disciplers International by helping women grow in their faith, mentoring them to become Disciplers for Christ, and fulfilling the Great Commission.

  • Lydia Ior

    SECRETARY

I am passionate about discipleship, hospitality, and raising a new generation of Christ-centered leaders. Currently, I serve as a university lecturer in Nigeria, where I use my teaching and mentoring gifts to integrate faith with academic and personal growth. Together with my husband, Clement, we open our home as a place of warmth, prayer, and discipleship for students and women seeking to grow in Christ.

My greatest joy is to see lives transformed by the Gospel and believers become equipped to disciple others for Christ. 2 Timothy 2:2 captures my vision to equip faithful men and women who will teach others also. My ministry emphasizes practical obedience, spiritual transformation, and the daily expression of God’s love through service. It is a privilege for me to be part of what God is doing through Disciplers International.
