I am Masauso Siakuba, also known as Missionary Mass by those I serve in Zimbabwe. My wife, Sekai Shiri, and I are blessed with five wonderful children. We are serving the Lord as missionaries with the Baptist Missionary Association of Zimbabwe, a church grounded in Jesus Christ, which entrusts us to serve Him by serving others. By the way, the motto of Disciplers International (DI) is “Serving Christ by Serving Others.”

Since becoming part of DI, Sekai and I have experienced the greater grace of the Lord in remarkable ways. Through their free discipleship training and resources, DI deepened our understanding of God's Word, strengthened our relationship with fellow Ministry Partners, and matured us spiritually though ongoing training and fellowship.

GIRLRISE OUTREACH

Since the beginning of this year, Sekai and I have been sharing the gospel with many people in different parts of Zimbabwe. Through the love and support of Disciplers International, we have also been able to share practical gifts with children whom my wife ministers to through GIRLRISE, an initiative dedicated to reaching and supporting school-age girls.

In June and July, GIRLRISE donated shoes to 15 girls and school uniforms to 10 at Kahonde Secondary School, which is a government school in Hurungwe District, Mashonaland, West Province. Although these gifts may appear small, they have opened doors for us to demonstrate the love of Christ and to reach young people with the Gospel.

I continue to conduct Step-by-Step training with local leaders from different parts of Zimbabwe. Some receive training in person, while others do so through online lessons. Beyond Zimbabwe, the Lord has also opened doors for me to train disciples in Malawi, Lesotho, Eswatini, Namibia, and Botswana. I’m pleased to say that we have completed the first phase of training and graduates have successfully completed the Oral Examination. The examination requires disciples (those in training) to verbally answer questions that encompass all aspects of their instruction. A passing score is 100%, meaning that all questions answered completely and correctly.

What gives me the greatest joy is not having disciples pass examinations but seeing the Gospel multiplied through the lives of those being trained. Every disciple who reaches another person with the message of Christ becomes part of the continuing work of making disciples. In effect, Disciples of Christ become Disciplers for Christ.

I had the privilege of training Donald (white shirt) and Philip in my home. After training them, these faithful disciples encouraged Sekai and I to plant a church in their neighborhood. We expect it will be a super church in a SUPER community!

NEW CHURCH PLANT

At the end of August, we successfully planted a new church in an area called SUPER, in Domboshava, which is about 70 kilometers from Harare, in Goromonzi District. This church plant came as a result of the training given to one of my disciples, Donald Mwinde. Donald led us to the area where he had already been ministering to people, and together we took another step in obedience to the Great Commission by establishing a local church. This is a beautiful reminder that discipleship is not merely about learning—it is about multiplying the work of Christ through faithful disciples.

School Ministry

We have extended Step-by-Step training to HOMEGATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, a special secondary school launched by my wife. The school provides an important platform where learners are regularly ministered to, taught God's Word, and encouraged to develop a personal relationship with the Lord. We believe that reaching young people today is an investment in the spiritual future of Zimbabwe and beyond.

THANKSGIVING

We give all glory to God for what He has done and continues to accomplish through this ministry. We are deeply grateful to our family, our Church, Disciplers International, and especially Pastor Bart, whose ministry and example have left visible marks of Christ's love in our lives. We remain committed to being the feet and hands of Jesus Christ, taking seriously His command to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28:19–20

Our prayer is simple: Lord, use us to make disciples who will make disciples, until the Gospel reaches every corner of our nation and beyond.
